COMMISSION INFO

Firstly, a big thank you for taking an interest in commissioning me for your work. In order to make the process as smooth as possible for both of us you’ll find below a little more info on how commissions work with me.

1. Brief

For any commission, I require a brief. This can be as simple as a few reference photos if it’s for a portrait or please send examples of my work you particularly like if you want me to take my own reigns with this.

A lot of the time I’m asked to have creative freedom with the design, although this is fine, I do require a written and/or visual description of what you’re hoping to receive. Without this, I can’t accurately quote and as such may have to charge more for multiple revisions if I don’t start in the right place.

2. Bookings

After you’ve sent me a brief and I’m happy I have enough info to get started I’ll ask that you make payment to book into my diary. Payments are via PayPal ideally, although other alternatives can be arranged on request. Any commission quoted under £100 is due upfront. Anything over is 50% upfront and 50% on completion.

3. Revisions

Naturally, I understand that the first design I send to you may require tweaks. Up to 3 revisions are included in all quotes but any more are chargeable at £15 upfront per edit. This is why a clear brief is essential upfront so I don’t have to charge you more for my time and that you get what you want straight away.

4. Pricing

Prices vary per piece and will be quoted on an individual basis. All bookings are non refundable. If you make a booking and cancel within 24 hours I am happy to make a full refund, but anything after this can only be refunded up to 50% if done within the first 36 hours. After this time, unfortunately I cannot honour any refunds as I will be unable to fill your work slot at such short notice.

5. Copyright

All commission copyright remains with me, the artist, unless explicitly stated during the initial process. If you’d like to commission artwork to sell on your own website/merchandise there is an additional fee for the copyright release. Usually around £20 depending on the piece(s).

I’ll include this in the final quote if agreed beforehand and there is nothing else that needs to be done – you’re free to do with the artwork as you wish.

6. Your Rights & Cancelling

I reserve the right to cancel or terminate any verbal or written contract made for commissioned work at any time. In the very rare event I cannot complete a piece in a mutually suitable time frame for unforeseen circumstances, I will refund the full amount. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.

7. Timescales

Timescales vary for each commissioned piece and depend on how many hours of my work are involved and the level of detail involved. The nature of the piece will also affect the quote (such as it being a commercial piece or personal).

I will always give an estimated timescale that aligns with my diary at the point of booking but please be please be aware this is liable to change as there is no definite and fixed time I can put on each project. I do my best to ensure every client gets the best outcome and this means I can run over on bookings before you. If your deadline is urgent, please let me know at the time of booking. Estimated dates can fluctuate up to an additional 30 days but you will be made aware if any delays arise.

If you have any further questions or enquires about booking with me, feel free to drop me an email to bambi@ripbambi.com. I look forward to creating with you! B x
