RIP BAMBI (she/her) is an internationally published feminist illustrator and artist from the dreary heart of middle England. Her familial roots are with circus travellers from the south of Ireland, where the wild things grow and the banshees hoe.
Bambi's work mainly focusses around body positivity and challenging societal norms on women and their sexuality. Fetishism and the subversion of power dynamics are regularly featured. Her wider inspirations include tattoo culture, Japanese manga, the riot grrrl movement, mental health, pop culture, death, literature , witchcraft and whatever current hyperfocus she has.
She is a queer, neurodivergent woman from a working class background and is passionate about these in her art. Having been diagnosed with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder at the late age of 26, she advocates for the importance of accessibility and inclusivity for neurodivergent women, particularly in the arts.
Bambi is also an experienced jewellery maker, having previously worked in the industry for 10+ years. Her designs were regularly published in national magazines. She now makes small, alternative fashion inspired ranges and occasionally creates more complex chainmaille pieces on very limited releases.
FAQ's and stuff
What are your delivery times/prices for print orders?
I try my very best to get orders shipped out as quickly as I can. Please keep in mind I am a one woman show and my prints are sent to me via a local supplier on a to-order basis before I post them to you. I do this twice per week so please allow up to 7 business days on top of delivery/processing times for this. Thank you! 🖤
Estimated delivery times are within;
UK orders – 7-14 working days
International orders – 4-6 weeks (please note – rarely, some parcels can take up to 10 weeks if they are inspected at customs, which cannot be avoided. If you require a faster service get in touch and I can arrange this.)
Shipping costs: £3.50 or free for the UK over £40. £8 for everywhere else in the world. International orders are sent via Untracked Standard. There are no tracking numbers for this service. This allows me to keep costs as low as possible for you whilst still sending via a reliable carrier. If you do need tracking, please email before ordering and I can arrange this.
Tshirts will always be sent separately to prints/pins etc as I find it minimises any risk of damage to artwork. You won’t incur any extra postage costs for this but please keep in mind they may arrive at different times. The postal service can push through some parcels faster than it does envelopes and vice versa.
If you think your order may have gone missing in the post (and the estimates above have passed) or arrives damaged, get in touch and I’ll get that sorted out for you.
What size are your prints?
Prints are currently available in sizes A6 through to A3. Other sizes can be arranged on request.
Their sizes are as follows:
Where is my tracking number?
ll orders are sent with standard untracked services in order for me to keep postage costs as low as possible. This is via Royal Mail and comes with a 99% successful delivery rate. Unless specifically requested, you will not receive a tracking number.
If you would like to ensure a delivery is tracked, feel free to get in touch to arrange this and receive a quote.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes! I ship all over the globe*. For international orders, please see delivery times in the section above. 🌍
*I do not ship to Israel.
My t-shirt/prints are missing from my order?
Tshirts are always posted seperately to artwork and pins etc. This is because they are made to order, and I find it the safest way to get both to you without any damage and to keep postage costs down.
Don’t worry if one parcel seems to be taking longer than the other, sometimes these make different flights/postal routes. It will be following behind!
If you still think something has been missed from your order, get in touch and I'll resolve it for you ASAP.
Can I tattoo your work?
Realistically, I can’t do anything to stop anyone from going and getting my work tattooed by another artist without my consent. However, I do ask if you would like to do this that you make a small contribution payment of £20 to support an independent artist.
A piece you like that I have posted online may be copyrighted client work, which is why I ask you always check the design is available with me beforehand.
Do you accept commissions?
Yes, absolutely! Currently my books are open for new work and collaborations for design work. Please note I am currently working on a 4 week minimum turnaround, but this can change dependent on the level of work required.
Please drop me an email to bambi@ripbambi.com, or via Instagram (@ripbambi) to get in touch with your ideas.
What are your fees?
For commission work, my fees change depending on the work required and the time involved in producing it.
For this reason I can't provide set prices here, however you're always welcome to enquire with your project idea for a no obligation quote.
(As a very vague example, you can expect a custom portrait with full body detailing to be around £75. I am happy to take on small design jobs, such as IG highlight icons, but I do have a minimum start price of £40.)
Can I repost your artwork on my social media pages?
I’m more than happy for other people to share my work, and I’m grateful that people like to do so! I do ask that you please only do this with full credit to my Instagram page (@ripbambi) and that you do not edit my work in any way (eg. add text, filters or recolour my work).
Thank you!
I only received one of your free prints?
From time to time I do free print offers. These are limited to one per person, per order. If you add multiple of these to your basket, only one will be sent. My freebies are always limited and this keeps it fair to everyone else and slows down a sell-out.
Can I use you/your art in my school work?
Absolutely. If you’re at art school/university and would like to use my work in any of your modules/coursework please feel free to use images I’ve posted online.
By getting in touch it is assumed and expected that you're of adult age in your home country to be viewing the art I produce.
